== testing backups ==

I haven't seen any spam at OpenCircuits.com for several days.

Perhaps we've finally gotten the anti-spam stuff working better than I had ever hoped.

Or perhaps something has gone horribly wrong and practically everyone has been locked out, even the people we *want* to edit the wiki.

I've recently read [http://c2.com/doc/forwards/beck2.html "Program computers you can unplug"] (via [[Wiki: ProgramComputersYouCanUnplug]]).

Do you have a machine (perhaps a virtual machine) that we can use to practice restoring the backups I periodically generate of the current OpenCircuits site?

(And more importantly, verifying that the backups are actually usable?)
